Get the Number One Rated MySpace bot NOW!!!
Good news or bad news? It depends.
The MySpace “virus” is spreading to your mobile phone soon, a deal has been inked with world’s largest mobile transaction network mBlox with subscribers on more than 500 mobile company networks in 180 countries!!!
mBlox will be the text message alert program for MySpace who subscribe to Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile USA, Alltel Wireless, Virgin Mobile USA and U.S. Cellular networks.
The service offers MySpace addicts real-time notification of new MySpace messages, friend requests, comments and related profile activity. The feature can be enabled from the MySpace control panel by selecting the Text Alerts link.
This is great news, now there is another tool to use when being out on a boring date:
Yes, I will have another glass of red wine and can you hold on a minute, I have to check my MySpace comments.
Wow, Brooke Hogan just sent me a glitter graphics comment I have to reply to her so this will take a few more minutes! I hope you don’t mind?
According to MySpace senior director of mobile business development Brandon Lucas: “This partnership with mBlox brings us a step closer to fulfilling our vision of empowering MySpace users to stay connected with their community wherever they are, whenever they like.”
So even when the millions of MySpace addicts get to peel their butts off of their chairs and go out into the real world to interact with real people MySpace mobile will be right there with them in their pockets.
This is comforting in today’s uncertain world! Glitter graphics on the go!
I understand for the need to stay constantly connected to friends and family but MySpace is not friends and family who need a 24/7 non stop attention.
This is the classic example of wanting something we don’t need. We do not need this no matter how cool people think it might be.
It is my dream (yes Utopia) when no mobile subscribers would sign up for this kind of service and the company would go belly up.
There would be an overwhelming consensus that this is a waste of time and money going against the purpose of being a human being.
Plugging into machines and computer networks is not what a human being was meant to be. This is devolution.
According to Steve Livingston, chief marketing officer of mBlox:
“SMS text messaging is expanding its reach into all aspects of our daily lives and this is an example of how mobile messaging is enhancing the consumer experience in social networking” also: quote continues: “delighted to be entrusted to deliver tens of millions of mobile alerts per month to MySpace users when they are on the go.”
