Why do 13 year olds commit suicide? In this sad case it was the mixture of outrageously stupid parenting and MySpace. The tragedy may result in that setting up the false MySpace account will be considered a crime!
Horrible parenting is a crime an in the case of a shy overweight Megan Meier a 13-year-old St. Louis area girl it made her end her life.
A fake MySpace profile for a fictitious Josh Evans was set up by a girl maned Ashley Grills who claims Lori Drew the mother of the deceased girl not only encouraged the idea but also helped to write some of the messages which were sent to her daughter.
After the hoax gone too far and it was to be discontinued. Unfortunately the poorly worded the last message to Megan Meier read this: “The world would be a better place without you”.
Megan Meier hanged herself shortly after.
U.S. federal prosecutors had no grounds to charge the mother and her accomplice but may be able to charge them with defrauding MySpace by setting up the false account!
This would have a far reaching consequences for thousands if not millions fake profiles currently on MySpace <– link-Just Say NO To Hot Asian Girls On MySpace!

You have your facts incorrect, Lori Drew was the mother of a girl that used to be friends with Megan, they lived in the same neighbourhood with Megan…….Megans mother is named Christina “Tina” Meier…..
I think you hould start getting your facts correct before you start talking out of your arse!! This is article or whatever is horrible, Megan’s communications were monitiored by her mother, that is why her mother requested that she log off, and scolded her for using vulgar language!!

i think that myspace is good just cause of 1 mishap now we have to be careful what we say on any messenger chat service i think in reality the girl who set up the false myspace should be accounted for her actions and be held responsible by the fullest intent of the law
i think in respect this is a story for the tv talk show host steve wilkos he would really grill the girl in respect i think life would be better with her behind bars which is infact where shes headed
